In short, if you have some experience with pc's and printers and don't mind buying a longer USB cable (or are on a wireless network) this is a good printer for you. It also comes with a small sample (3 pages) of 4"圆" photo quality paper. I have not tried scanning, printing from a memory card or photo quality printing yet. The copying is also quick and excellent quality. Once you finally get it set up it prints excellent quality and is pretty quick too. Fortunately inserting the paper is easy to figure out.
HP PHOTOSMART C4780 HOW TO
Unfortunately it hasn't shown you how to insert the paper yet (that's the next step).
HP PHOTOSMART C4780 INSTALL
For example, immediately after you install the print cartridges you are told the printer needs to print a test page so it can do a self alignment. The install disk is simple to use but takes a whi le and doesn't seem to be well designed. If your computer is connected to a wireless network (mine isn't) you have the option of printing wirelessly. It does use a standard USB A to USB B cable and you can find longer ones at places like CyberGuys. Considering the USB port is in the back of the printer, you'd have to have it on the desk right next to the pc.
HP PHOTOSMART C4780 PLUS
Connectivity includes Wi-Fi and USB, plus two media slots for MS, SD, and xD cards. The included USB cable is ridiculously short, just over 3 feet. The Photosmart C4780 offers a few extras and admirable support for its low price (130 at this writing). Even things like how to install the print cartridges are 'online' only. Like other new products there is virtually no printed documentation included - I guess that's the new 'green' trend. If you plug it into a wall it will be dangling off the floor. The cord that attaches from the 'power brick' to the power supply is quite short. Great printer, lousy set-up and accessoriesįirst what I don't like. If I knew that there was a chance that the night before a paper was due I wouldn't be able to print it, I wouldn't have bought it. However, I should have researched more on this to know about inconvienient defects. It prints, copies, and scans things very quickly. While I can't use the wireless at my college, I can at home, and it's very convienient. Apparently it's a defect of this printer that I wasn't aware of.Īll in all, a good printer.
My friend who has the same printer, though, has the same problem from time to time. I've re-started, taken out the cartridges, put them back, turned it on, unplugged it, and have done everything I could think of. Today I recieved a "print cartridge error" message on the screen and it won't let me print anything. CompAndSave offers the replacement HP 60 and HP 60XL ink cartridges wherein the.HP 60 black produces up to 200 pages at 5 page yield, while the HP 60XL black gives up to 600 sheets at 5 page yield. The speed is very fast and all of my papers have been printed fast. The HP Photosmart C4780 printer uses the standard HP 60 and high yield HP 60XL ink cartridges in black and tri-color. I like the fact that it can scan and copy things I've used those a bit. Unfortunately, the wireless doesnt work over my college's wifi network.
I bought this printer for college and recieved it about a month ago. Good printer, but one inconvienient problem
